Gender Self-Select & X Marker

As of June 30, 2021, the State Department announced a policy to issue passports that reflect a person’s gender by their own self-attestation. This means you can self-select F or M with no doctor’s letter. X gender markers will be available on US Passport books by self-select as of April 11, 2022.
