Action Alert: Trans Health Equity Act of 2022 - Medicaid Gender Affirming Care SB682/HB746

We need your help to expand coverage for Gender Affirming Care with Maryland Medicaid.

Dear Community,

As we know you're aware, our community faces countless obstacles to obtaining the healthcare we need. We currently have a tiered system where some trans people with some insurances receive one level of care, while low income trans Marylanders on Medicaid are denied countless gender affirming and life saving procedures. This is grossly inequitable and harmful, and takes an immeasurably damaging toll on us all.

We have a broad coalition of organizations, medical professionals, and individuals working together on the campaign to push for comprehensive healthcare for trans people in Maryland, without any exemptions or exclusions. We cannot continue to be forced into choosing our safety and wellbeing over our physical and mental healthcare needs.

Let's be agents of change together!
